Smitten with the mitten. That's what I am. Especially in the summer. I know there are plenty of beautiful, friendly, amazing places to live. I am a born and raised Michigan girl. If you are from Michigan, you will undoubtedly use your hand to explain where you are from while traveling. Even if you are from the Upper Pennisula. This summer, friends that are not from Michigan, are joining us on the outside of the pinky's fingernail; it's my favorite part. Sometimes it looks like this:

Ha! There are a couple in town who always walk in the morning holding hands the whole time. I've always thought the Libya mittens would be perfect for them. Did you say to yourself, "Hey, that looks just like Libya!" when you saw those mittens? Because before I read this I had no idea what Libya looked like. I learn so much from you. And I love our state, too. It's even nicer just a little bit north. :)
Oh, that is just too funny! I am a Michigan native though I've been gone for nearly 40 years. But I still have that same sense of "smitten-ness" that I can't quite explain. A trip to Sleeping Bear Dunes last summer reminded me... Thanks for the reinforcement!
