Smitten with the mitten. That's what I am. Especially in the summer. I know there are plenty of beautiful, friendly, amazing places to live. I am a born and raised Michigan girl. If you are from Michigan, you will undoubtedly use your hand to explain where you are from while traveling. Even if you are from the Upper Pennisula. This summer, friends that are not from Michigan, are joining us on the outside of the pinky's fingernail; it's my favorite part. Sometimes it looks like this: And even this:
As much as I love Michigan, the reason I love it so much is that my people are here. And I'm smitten with them, too.
I'm thinking about getting these. I wonder if anyone will share them with me? In the winter, when I need to remember how much I truly am smitten with the mitten. They are pretty and probably cozy. A lot like Michigan.
Though, they look more like Libya. Go ahead and look. I've saved you the trip.
i'm a mostly mama. really. mostly pretty good. not super. never perfect. mostly mama to our two spirited boys, b and r. kitty mama to indie and true. and wife to my sweet husband, big red. i am seeking balance and joy everyday while making dinner and sweeping up kitty litter, cheering on the boys or trying to remember where i placed my sunglasses, painting or designing, getting my hands dirty or losing myself in my own little world of imperfection and happy accidents.
Indigo Jones Studio is a time and place for me. It is an artistic craving. It is what I have dreamt about since I was just a little girl. It is the colors I choose again and again. It is the time and space to create just that.
everything all the time handbag
That's what it's called. You know, the bag that you toss everything into....all the time. The one that is a purse, a book bag, a lunch bag, a gift bag, a diaper bag, a beach bag, a whatever you need it to be bag. The one that seems to "POP" your wardrobe. The one that is patterned and playful, yet practical and pretty. It's the bohemian flower child meet buttoned up prepster. It's wild and tailored. Each handbag is painstakingly whittled by me in my Michigan home studio. Usually late at night. No two bags are identical. That would spoil the fun. It will sit up straight and look pretty. To clean, just wipe with a soft damp cloth. If you must, use a anti-bacterial soap.
